Ouya

You won't be surprised to learn this is the first I've heard of Ouya. But hell yeah I'm interested! Naturally everything will come down to the games that we hope will run on it in the thousands! The world differently needs an inexpensive alternative to PS3/4 and XBox imho

Looks like emulators and indie games. Not too surprising, actually, given that it's essentially an indie platform. Some of the games are not too bad, though.

"A Space Shooter for Two Bucks" delivers exactly what it promises, and for the price is actually pretty fun (I've played it on PS3).

Farm Invasion USA I've played on Android; it's pretty repetitive, and is really just a disguised attempt to get you to buy power-ups in their store.

Pinball Arcade is another game I've played on the PS3, and (at least there) you get 4 relatively uninteresting tables and have to buy the others.

You Don't Know Jack is a rather fun game, but quickly gets stale because of the limited question set.

Final Fantasy III is, well, it's old.

The "kid" appeal may well be there. But....They haven't convinced me...":O}

Time will tell.

Actually, if they had some amazing exclusive game at launch, they might just shoot themselves in the foot. They wouldn't have enough consoles to meet the demand.

What I need is a new PS3 with 20 dollar games... Just biding my time...":O}

sounds to me like a LinSteam beginning. Get as many indie games and demos together and when they get enough sold, start hitting-up AAA developers and companies.

At least Steam converted a few of their biggest games to native Linux after launching.

I like the price tag, but we know it doesn't end there...
The HDMI is nice, and 1080 should help games look good from that tiny device.

I"m always about spending less and playing more... this is a good route for kids and college students.
If it wasn't for computers, I would even be interested!
