Can't in honesty answer that question.
An honest man! I've been looking for you! LOL
Did you go through your centurylink bill? did you check modem rental agreement and determine whether you had to keep paying the rental fee even after paying modem purchase price?
Just chking ya undestand LOL
I asked Patti about it as she does our finances. She's a plodder, so it will take a while before we can hope to see a result.":O}
See ya in the spring!! LOL
Only if were lucky! LOL
Poor Diogenes, after centuries he STILL searches for an honest man.
Perhaps he might have done better if he had instead of searching for one, became the man he sought...Yes?
And what did he mean by a honest man? Does an honest man tell the truth to Hitler?
Can an honest man's truth be spoken? Or must it be lived?
I feel he made a mistake. Diogenes should not have asked others to be what he himself could not become. Had he been honest with himself he would have known this.
Shazam, a very good point indeed! A willfully blind me never thought of this before! And he wore out many a shoe or sandal not to mention burned a heaping amount of candles over the millennia. And expelled enough gas to shame a cow.
Mirrors weren't very good way back then but he had to have caught his reflection in some water.
To be fair it may have been humility that kept him from searching for ANOTHER honest man.":O}
A bit confusing, as I know the tale he searched and still searches in vain for an honest man. If you don't mind, can you please explain "Another honest man." Sorry if I'm being thick in the head here.
What would an honest man seek in life if not another honest man?
But how better to meet and know an honest man than by first becoming one?
Complete honesty with myself is so painful. I had the unmitigated crust to consider myself a beacon of truth and honesty. But I certainly am not.
So like,... who is!!??
As Obama is fond of saying...
"Don't let the perfect become the enemy of the good."
The perfect is but a dream,
an illusive construct whose only real purpose is to to cast shade on the possible.
The possible is the true child of reality. It grows out of what is and becomes what might be.
Remembering our own flaws lessens our anger in the face of the flaws of those who so imperfectly gave us life.
Our parents judge us, as they must in order to raise us.
Be we children have no need to judge what is beyond our ability to judge rightly.
The information is simply not available to those who only came after the flood that raised or drowned our parents.
When we face our memories of our parents it should be without judgement.
Because we cannot judge what we do not know.
The wise have said that
"To know all is to forgive all."
But if we can not know we can at least refrain from judgement.
If the world did not love us as we think it should have,
Our parents gave us the chance to love this world as we think we should.
How generous of the world.
