I have a large vinyl record collection. They are mostly Rock Music from maybe the early 70's to late 80's. I have long ago recorded a 100 albums or so. Back then, I used various Windows based programs. I got wonderful results.
I finally got a usable recording of an old Fleetwood Mac vinyl album. And it is in digital format. I did this on Linux Mint 17 using Audacity. It was played on a Technics SL-D2 turntable that I bought in Germany long ago. I am grinning from ear to ear!
But.... Sound recording in Linux appears to be buggy as all get out. Or it could be my lack of knowledge in Linux music recording. I did some internet research on this and it seems many others have had similar experiences.
So, it can be done. I sure would appreciate some tips on doing this in Linux.
