Shazam! This James Carr sure knew how to genuinely sing rhythm and blues! With the accent on BLUES. Thank you very much for introducing him! I was ignorant of this fine artist.
Yeah I get that a lot two. Especially difficult when You tube has removed the song But as I recall it was Sheryl Crow, Beautiful Dreamer. As well done as ever I have herd.
A sad day today: Mac Rebennack or 'Dr John', as he was best known, dead at 77. This guy I loved. He was a true enigma, influencing many, many other musicians both in blues and rock. A truly great loss. https://www.npr.org/2019/06/06/730481477/dr-john-legend-of-new-orleans-dead-at-77 Here he is, in all his glory, with Don Was on bass: A bigger than life character, who hobnobbed with the best:
An American original, we were so fortunate to have him! May he rest in peace, we will remember him fondly in the foreseeable future. Never saw Mr Clapton playing an ES335 before, fwiw.

He was one of greats of Rhythm and blues, but he excelled in Soul Otis and Percy Sledge all worked the same grove in very individual ways.
A citizen of the "floating world" has passed from us. the keyboard silent and our hearts are deaf to consolation. the laughter in his growly voice now is joined to our tears. He walked this world adorned and adored by music He left us and left music with us But no sweet song can bring him back. we morn.
Fun video, thank you for posting it! It's very likely that this UPS guy was fired after going viral, whaa!
