Perhaps that "hard rain" has begun to fall? I'd hoped for something less apocalyptic but I can no longer see anything hopeful on the horizon. Yeah, I know "carpe diem."
I see what has always been, a world in change. I see a great awaking.
in the mist of the horrors we have created.
I see us getting to work upon the great and holy task of reclamation.
I see Climate Change in the mass murders and the suicides with no one to bury them.
I see Australia burning and Australians catching fire and rushing to save all that can be saved.
In common peril I see the great masses united as we must be to face the most enormous transition in human history.
It will soon be widely know that the only way to save the planet is to become the planet. To relate to every creature we have harmed.
I see mankind on the brink of destruction. People on the brink are willing to change in order to gain survival.
With out elevation there can be no revelation.
I see the very real possibility of humanity rising above our petty disagreements
to find the resolve to preserve into a new age of unity.
To fail in this is to see mankind pass away from this world.
This gives me some certainty that the very last man on Earth will die trying to make things right for those who will follow.
And that such a sacrificial spirit is just what's need to set this world to rights.
We had the Lemon Grove Woman s Club!
They had a small hall where they put on summer Saturday night dances.
For Junior High school kids in Lemon Grove. It was a sock hop.
It's where I first danced with Girls I hadn't known since the third grade.
And you know...I never thought to thank them. They were so very kind and understanding.
"Makes me want to holler throw up my hands." (Marvin Gaye) But much must be accomplished, hands must work now.
I hope that poets and musicians are good enough in the future to join the ones that we love so much in our greying years.
