I was wandering in desperation I was haunted in my middle years by something My teacher said, something I could not deny.
"If your not seeing God it's because you don't want to."
I was 40 and seemed to be getting no where I rejected theology
as a path to him. I wanted personal experience of the Divine

Or so I thought...except I wasn't seeing him.
"Then one night it happened!"

I still wasn't seeing him..but a different way of looking at things came to me.
"all things come unbidden at the appointed hour."

I resolved to continue as I had begun. To search and to wander.
To try to wait in good faith for that appointed hour and to stop insisting that I should choose that hour.

Now I wait upon the desecration of the divine, I am content to see what he chooses to show me as he wishes to reveal what I need to see in order to make adaquite passage from birth to and through death.

I wait not to see, but to be shown this world by the one who made it.

It no longer matters to me if I am right, so long as he finds me to be good.

It's pouring rain as I type this. The river has risen and fallen several times, never exceeding it's banks, but making all kinda threats against my well being.

But water is no longer accumulating on the ground at my trailer door. Just big puddles here and there.

Maybe I want to deny any god. Goodly or badly it makes sense to me to refuse god. A being so cruel demands severe retribution. Sure I may have this wrong. But if there is a god he or she or whatever phucked me over so hard that forgiveness is beyond me. Holding grudges since third grade has tired me greatly.

And 70 years is enough, I've proved that I can take the punishment and more longevity isn't a worthy goal.
Yes, I've suffered under Depression lately. Anyone who equates "feeling Depressed" with Severe Depression is too ignorant. I promised my shrink that I would talk to him before taking that final step. Rats.

So you only believe
in a God that hates you? Anyone who who isn't depressed as your depressed isn't really depressed. Your kinda cutting yourself off from man and god, are you not?

As I've stated else where I no longer think that understanding is more important than love. But I still think that judgement without understanding is folly, As understanding without love is just dust.

Love is an emotion, but it is also a journey, an undertaking, deep well and a high mountain.

Love is the language God speaks to us in.

And My friend there you are with both fingers in your ears.
When he speaks not to our ears but our hearts.

So stop creating negative emotions for your self to suffer..
How do I stop what I've always done?

By realizing that you are doing it. It is not being done to you, you are doing it to yourself.

Your mad because you don't understand.
Let me ask you, who are you that god needs to explain his actions?

What standing do you have to make such demands

You have not failed to understand any more than the rest of us. You have failed to love.

You don't need a bunch of half baked ideas, you need to focus upon one idea. Your not fulfilling your primary function, to love then do what your love wills you to do.

George I thought we had an understanding, That we would be there for each other. We will both be dead soon enough.

While we live let us celebrate each other. Let us strive to increase the love in this world and as best we might to tend to her wounds.

No need to speak of what others do. We need only concern our selves with what we do.

Now quit your whining and get on with your loving, there is an entire world out there in need of your love, If God wanted us to know more of him, we would.

We know and see only what our natures and spirits are meant to know and see.

But there are no limits to the love we are allowed to give, love is an ever flowing fountain and no one is forbidden to drink of it.

Lighten up my brother we are very near the end Lets laugh and make a good show of it Lets show the world how a good death is made, with love still shining in our tired old eyes. ":O}
 
You two really have to stop talking about death. I know it's coming, but I don't need the reminders! [62 and counting] I just need to last long enough to see my kids find the loves of their lives, and then I can shuffle off...

But I'm not looking for the mortal coil to appear any time soon, and neither should y'all. It will come when it comes; don't tempt it, lolz ;)

But TR, death is our all inclusive all expense paid no need to bring a sack lunch
no reservations needed summation of all we are or ever have been.

Your death came into this world with you to be your most trusted and reliable friend.

Death is God's love for you calling you home.

Death is our reminder that we have somewhere we must be. That there is something we must accomplish, someone we must become.

We can only die as much as we have lived. Not living our lives to the fullest cheats both life and death.

Your a good man TR, death offers you only an un-distorted view of your life.
Death is a clear window upon all that lives.

Befriend your death. Spend each day in preparation for a transformation that none can refuse.,
Become at ease with your death, it means you no harm.

It is incorrect to say of someone that they are dying.
They are living until they are dead. So shape the edge between life and death, it's absolute.

Death is best met head on and without remorse.

Death opens more than it closes.

What, me worry? It feels like I'm wandering through my own universe of pain. I see great cruelty visited upon nearly everyone. My reaction is to be "blasphemous" and dismiss a god that permits such a thing.

This makes no sense to you what can I say? More power to you? Me of extremely little faith. The old expression of walk a mile in someone else's shoes before criticizing seems valid to me.
