Evey town has an edge
I was very unsophisticated about popular music in the later Seventies. My pot addled brain got Boston but I didn't understand Steely Dan's work. My shame is great, Steely Dan were really good and I didn't get that until years later. "Kid Charlemagne" is a fave of the friend I met in a music class at Seattle Community College in the early Ninety's. Better late than never!
Larry Carlton is an amazing and very sophisticated guitar player. I knew his name but barely. Looks like I need a lot more musical education, thank you for posting these two videos, TR!!
yes! like it very much.Is this a great tune? Ear of the beholder...
Good one Dan! Have not heard this one in a very long time. This one is for TR....And me. Mostly TR though, maybe 65% Tr and 75% me...
it comes with some solid advise as to how to approach this music.
Maybe 75% Tr and 40% me...
At least one of the band members, the drummer, is Ry's son Joachim. What would it have felt like to grow up with a dad like that?
Ahhh, the Honeymooners. Love that little troupe forevermany years ago when the world was new I had a landlord who was very nice to rent from. one day hec ame by our commune with a case of wine ,Almond I think it was. But what I really remember is how he introduced his wife of many many years.
This is my little bride he proudly said, and she blushed just so sweetly. for all her years.
This is a little different way to look at marriage.
Oh, how sweet it is!"
And away we go...
