I know this guy! Didn't he have a spot in the Blues Brothers Movie, forget which one. Here's Blues Traveler again, years later, after Popper lost a ton of weight for his health. Still a 'force majeure':
The weight loss looks good on him, but it always does doesn't it? ":O}Here's Blues Traveler again, years later, after Popper lost a ton of weight for his health. Still a 'force majeure':
Yes, he was in Blues Brothers 2000. Here he is with Elwood [not from the movie]:I know this guy! Didn't he have a spot in the Blues Brothers Movie, forget which one.
This guy is off the planet. Perhaps *the* virtuoso of the mouth harp, John Popper [Blues Traveler]. George, you'll like his *vest*; a harp in every key!

Does my heart good to see him still above ground.

Something of serenade over a junk yard fence...I've never figured out which side of the fence I want to be on.
It takes a lot of damn Gaul to stick a harp in ones mouth with Popper standing thee. I've have always loved Dan, we share his sense of humor. Now we share his sense of Popper. Thanks TR. This one woke me right up! ":O}Yes, he was in Blues Brothers 2000. Here he is with Elwood [not from the movie]:
I had a thing for pocket watches in third grade. For some reason I could not stop myself from over winding them. Broke a half dozen..at $3,50 each..for just one watch! same as mine but lacked over winding.I gave up on time keeping...true story.":O)Great band, no argument whatsoever from me. But I must insist that Mickey Raphael is the virtuoso of popular music on the harmonica.
He plays on a lot of Emmylou's records but he's in the background most often. Yet absolutely superb in those backgrounds.
And wearing what is now an $8000.00 Rolex Oyster Perpetual Submariner watch. Bought myself one for my sixtieth birthday. But mine was a 50th Anniversary Model with a green bezel. Gave it away after I turned sixty five. Meh, a watch is a watch. And it ran fast as hell. Swiss Certified Chronometer my ass.
Beg pardon, but $7400 was a lot of watch for me. Saved for years I did. Tag Heuer is good enough for me nowadays. No freakin' way could I afford a status symbol like Rolex nowadays. It's just that my father had three of them and you just gotta keep up with the Joneses.
