Couldn't agree more; they are billionaires already, and could charge a third of the price easily ... along with producing properly finished games, good support, dropping any lock-in stuff and data-mining! ... just a few major areas, lol. Charging less they'd likely sell more, and customers...

Absolutely; dx9 game guides are very clear and easy to follow, not all those complex posts I see on Reddit about sorting wine directly, lol *shiver*. I think sometimes people get caught up in the fever for the latest, when there's so much genuinely good play in the games you mention ... huge...

Yes, and there's bound to be continued good dxvk/vulkan developments, which is helpful for independent installs and really exciting. So many people are keen about Proton, and coming over from Windows, which does get Linux more on the map too, but unfortunately with less of a focus on privacy...

I agree about the larger % being dx9 games; most of the games I play are those, and a lot of fun. Great to try older or smaller games with just installing dx9 via POL, and to find that it works!

Thank you, Booman; wonderful news. Personally, with not using Steam (very privacy-conscious), I'd been worried that the new Proton might suck everything into Steam. Playonlinux is so easy to use with your guides for games and dxvk.

Sounds exciting about Watch Dogs, and I've just got Witcher 3 running perfectly, somehow, lol ... am not tech and therefore very glad of POL and your guides, but have got lucky, with a little bit of reading and just trying out something, on top of what is already installed in main system...

I know, cloasters ... it's a lot of fun to just play, and enjoy the great visuals etc, without worrying about dying and redoing things. :-)

Trainers can be so useful; used them all the time before coming over to Linux ... prefer to just relax and enjoy the graphics and game, instead of dying all the time, lol, plus some games are a bit tough even on the easiest level. God-mode, all ammo, no reload, etc, makes a big difference...

Oops, sorry, I've checked and, yes, I own the GOG and Stream versions, but I prefer not to use Steam, so did as you described you do. Got mixed up; ill health, so got confused between games, as I have quite a few installed. I've tried every which way about a trainer, including even the dumb move...
