Get your Blizzard game patch notes from the command line

I know, thanks for the suggestion. In the end I left it like the first line because /usr/bin/python whilst just a link still uses python2.7 primarily on many distributions and python 3 is left installed but not as default. Not many distributions ships Python 3 which is an assumption I made at...

What are you currently playing? How's the backlog? March 2014

Sometimes changing libraries to builtin to native and vice versa could help, but its a tedious job.

What are you currently playing? How's the backlog? March 2014

Just bought Long Live The Queen from GOG.com out of curiosity, well I'll be honest the trailer was just awesomely unexpected and I had to try it. $3.99? sold. It runs flawlessly on WINE 1.7.12. I expected as much since the game is pretty much a novel of the sorts itself.

[News] Crytek Showing Off CryEngine On Linux At GDC

I'm okay with this... there are already some kickstarter games using this engine that announced linux support. Maybe we don't get ports from old games but we are looking for a fresh batch of new games ahead.

You are not wrong. BF3 and BF4 won't run on GNU/Linux. You can get it installed I guess... but successfully run it with battlelog web plugin? doubtful.

What are you currently playing? How's the backlog? March 2014

Mind if I ask.. why did you move to windows to finish BL2? You know after many years away from GNU/Linux and recently coming back I'm still disbelief on how stable playing windows games is. I have a bit of tearing, mostly related to drivers and I'm hoping it improves. But Diablo 3, jesus, it...

What are you currently playing? How's the backlog? March 2014

Alright, time to have some community time. What are you currently playing? Me? I bought Diablo 3 recently from GameStop, it was a $19.99 and I had to go for it. Diablo is one of my first game experience when I was young. I think that it has influenced me a lot and introduced me to even more...

    Stellar Overload Kickstarter

Looks like a very interesting project. All good luck to them, it's not my type of game but it seems like people from Minecraft/Starbound and similar games will feel at home.

Does the open source community hurts game developers?

May I add that we are getting a bit off-topic regarding the GNUTLS issue? I don't want to be that guy but... how code is patched, covered and how teams respond to each security/bug are highly subjective on each project, be it closed source or open source. If there's a lack of organization or no...

Does the open source community hurts game developers?

Yes, recently read that today. I'm amazed how old the mailing list post was when I saw the issue at first sight and it was ignored for so long... I do agree that open source doesn't equal to quality. Sometimes people contribute code to get better at it, others would contribute with remarks or...
