Discovered something. I had a similar launch issue with Sins Of A Solar Empire. What worked for me was installing component ‘dxfullsetup’. Decided to try it out with Fallout 3 and it did the trick. Works now on Zorin 15.

Update: I found that the Launcher executables have the problem with keyboard not working. I tried the Xwing95/Tie95 executables and they have only have the invisible mouse pointer/cursor issue but keyboard works fine. Tested on another computer and same issue.
