100,000 WOW Players banned for using bots by Blizzard

More than a 100,000 World of Warcraft players using “bots” to automate gameplay were just handed down a six-month timeout from Blizzard Entertainment.

Apparently Blizzard didn't initially publicize any real numbers...
At the same time, I'm not surprised.
Bots playing the game for you? Who wouldn't think of that?

Its kinda interesting because a lot of facebook games regenerate energy when you aren't playing. So the next day you can use up your energy and then come back again.
Otherwise you have to pay for energy with real money.

I wouldn't be surprised if a game had an auto-leveling aspect where your character is always leveling up, even when you aren't playing
