    Every thing changes.except change.
The superior mam seeks to stand in the middle where change will disturb his plans the least.

It is in the middle that he can hope to find support. The further out from center one goes, the more isolated he becomes.

What lies ahead for us as a country?
No one can say with certainty.

But I just gotta say that Papa Joe gives us a great deal to hope for.
Perhaps even more that the Nationalist give cause for dread.

But again, the superior man yields neither to hope nor fear.
firmly centered within himself, looking neither to the right nor the left
he concerns himself with those things that are at hand by a steely eyed focus
an unblinking gaze upon his divinely ordained duty.

This he does come what may.
Amen is forever upon his lips..

In 1850's we had average of 28 feet of top soil.
Now we farm between 1/4 and 1/2 inch.

But we know how to restore it. Amazing things are coming from the Organic food movement. As corporations abandon the land they ruined Organic farmers are starting to take it over and re grow the soil.

There's a really good Doc called "The biggest little garden" That will give us well founded hope.

For the first time, I feel George (Not Me George)
is dead wrong. We can and are killing the life on Earth.

    We can and must stop.

Many have have opposing views. but opposing views will not save
    all that can be saved.
because there in lies our duty to this world.
We must save all that can be saved. all that we are destroying.
must be saved. or there will be HELL to pay.

You know, like hell, where everything is on fire.where we kill a Billion animals in one fire season.
Pray for us George and we will pray for you.

Actually I agree with you. Years ago I accepted this Mr Carlin posting as an antidote to what, exactly? It hasn't updated well at all.

Seriously, 28 FEET of topsoil? I buy all the organic I can afford. Sadly, that freakin' Roundup, TM falls down to Earth everywhere in the rain, even on to organic crops. The stuff must be universally and forever banned.

I think it's cool as all get out that Daerandin is a member of the Red Party. While Communism is anathema to the great majority of Americans, Socialism holds the only promise of a sane way to save America, imho. And it's soundly hated by those in charge in the USA. Of course it is hated, it's the opposite of rule by the rich, of the rich and for the rich.

Despite the Red Party being two previous parties merging, and one of the communist, the Red Party itself does not identify as communist. It is a socialist party that takes a firm stance against any form of anti-democratic ideals. In all honesty, the politics of the Red party here in Norway is more or less the same as the politics of the Norwegian Labour Party between 1945 and 1980. Up until recently, Labour Party was the dominant party in Norway. In recent years, Labour Party have slowly moved away from their socialist roots, while at the same time losing support in the population.

I am not going to claim that one political view is right and another is wrong, but I find it very difficult to believe that any form of extreme wealth can exist without the exploitation of others. It is not my belief that people are not allowed to accumulate wealth, but I also don't believe that any human deserve or need hundreds of millions, especially when so many live in poverty. I honestly don't see a clear solution to this problem, but I believe that socialism is a very good candidate. Besides, a moderate form as socialism has worked well here in Norway since WW2.

See how well Europeans and Scandinavians are educated compared to Americans? Beautiful English, well constructed sentences that very many native English speakers in America can't emulate.

We've been turned into a confederacy of dunces by Republican's refusal to spend money on behalf of our education and well being. Almost worse, the Democratic Party by and large has moved so far to the right that it is life threatening.

"If you don't love it, leave it." This would leave only moronic Fascists behind. Plus what country wants to offer asylum to Americans? As we don't offer asylum to very many refuges, who's status was caused by the US's ignorant if not plain out malicious blundering in affairs we refuse to understand on a realistic level.

I do claim that one political view is right. And it isn't Neo-liberalism, Neo-conservatism or crony Capitalism. imnsho.
