Logitech Dual Action Gamepad under PlayOnLinux

Heelo out there,

I've got a problem here (surprise) :D


I want to play games with my controler (see titel) on the PC, but it won't work so far:

System: Linux Mint 17 "Quiana" 64bit Cinnamon.
Kernel: 3.13.0-24-generic
CPU: AMD Athlon II X2 240
RAM: 4GB DDR3
GPU GeForce GTX 260

So, see, an older system, but all games I like are running so far.

Now I installed e.d. Life Is Strange (a masterpiece by the way, totally fucked me over) through PlayOnLinux and I "installed" the Logitech Dual Action Gamepad - actually I installed AntiMicro and configurated the Pad (by the way, has AntiMicro to be played all the time in background while using the Gamepad?).
Then I installed xinput in PlayOnLinux. The Wine device Manager recognizes the Gamepad (PlayOnLinux -> Wine -> Control panel -> Gamecontroller) Under "Test joystick" the entry "Logitech Logitech Dual Action (event)" worekd flawlessly. But the Entry "Logitech Logitech Dual Action (js) mixed up the axes:

Its working all fine except the right joistick. the x-Axe is normally (Z, Rz) but the Y-Axe is shown as the X-Axe of Rx/Ry. Don't know how to explain it better.
Right stick don't works in the game, makes it unplayable with gamepad. Inverting the Axes don't works at all.

So, I tried a XBox 360 Controller of a friend of mine. It has the same effect (installed xboxdrv), so I think it depends on wine.
Anyone out there who knows a solution? Dr. Google doesn't at all.

First thing I would recommend is upgrading to Mint 17.3 64-bit (Rosa)
I've tried using my Logitech Dual-Action controller for a few games and it worked out-of-the-box
I didn't have to install anything.
I successfully played Kung Fu Strike with two controllers.
I also had success with my Xbox Guitar Hero controller and Frets on Fire.
 
First thing: Sorry ThunderRd, since it's running in AntiMicro I thought it's a software problem.

booman, I hoped for you cause your guides helped me out of almost everything and are a reason for me to be here.
Can I upgrade without installing complete new? And does this even work out of the box under wine?
 
Yes you can upgrade without having to re-install all of your programs and games, but it can be tedious.
I have done it several times and didn't have any major problems.

Upgrade within a series: by means of Update Manager
1. The main method is by means of Update Manager. Like this:

a. Launch Update Manager and apply all available updates, so that you've got the latest version of Update Manager.

b. In the panel of Update Manager you click Edit and then Upgrade to Linux Mint 17.3 Rosa.

c. Then a wizard presents itself, that gives you some information.

After the last step, the installation begins. Wait patiently; sometimes it looks as if nothing happens, but that's just appearance. So just wait.

d. After completion of the upgrade you have to reboot your computer.

Note: during the upgrade you won't get a kernel upgrade to the recommended kernel for Linux Mint 17.3 Rosa. There's a reason for that, because that's no problem: it's quite alright to continue using your current older kernel in 17.3.

You're done. Enjoy the beautiful Linux Mint 17.3 Rosa!

So thanks, I upgraded to 17.3

The problem is still present, unchanged.
I installed 17.3, POL and Life Is Strange on another PC and tried the controler and a PS3 controler from a friend there with the same problem.
 
It is and I have, but it does quite the same like AntiMicro. No improvement :)
Tried it on another PC, same problem.
When this is such a common problem, there must be a solution or a reason why there is no. When it isn't a common problem something is wrong with me, or? What could be?
 
Interesting, so you do have joystick installed?
At least you are now upgraded to Mint 17.3
That is a good start. I wonder if your Logitech just isn't compatible with Linux? Mine is really old... at least 8 years old
What is the exact model of your Logitech?
 
Jeah, it was my first try before AntiMicro (is this even the right grammar xD?).
I uninstalled it first because I had the same problem and wanted to try something else.

Here is no lable saying "exact model" or something so I'll post what I have:

So what is AntiMicro for Linux? Wait, I just searched for it. This is completely out-of-my-realm because my controllers worked out-of-the-box with Mint. I didn't use AntiMicro or anything... just Linux Mint.

You may want to post some questions on the Linux Game Database Forum because they may have more experience with it.

I'll look up your controller and see who has had problems with Mint or any other distro's
It appears to be an older one like mine.
