Supposedly Intel is coming out with new i7's and i9's that don't use multi-threading. Will this help with Spectre and that other pita problem?

I think it's time we started over. The people I listen to have long agreed that we need to build our systems upon security not add security as an after thought.
With so much at stake why are we messing about with unsecured systems just begging to be hacked!?
