Apparently Microsoft is going to produce two Xboxes as their new consoles.
"S" is going to be the more affordable model while the "X" is going to have higher specs for a state-of-the-art gaming experience.
To me, this appears to be anti-console development. Imagine developers having to make two versions of their game for two hardware requirements. I thought the point of consoles was to make it easy for consumers and developers by have a hardware standard for each game.
If each console developer went this route, then they have less argument porting to Linux with all of our distros and PC hardware.
- Xbox One S
- Xbox One X
