So now that we have a UT server, wha'd'ya say we break it in with a Memorial Day Weekend Tournament*?

The poll is only asking for the day, we'll decide on a specific time once we have the date itself.

* When I say tournament, I mean fragfest.

Strange I didn't see this post.
I'm good Fridays or Saturdays.
My daughter is going to join in as well.

Nope, out of the 12 of us... only 2 of us want to Frag.
Like I said, my daughter will play with us and if TNT has some buds, that would make 5 or 6 of us.

I'm away from home over the holiday weekend, I'll have to take a rain check. Next time, I'll have young Daniel with me.

Anyway, looks like we'll be hosting the tournament on Saturday. I've got a D&D session with my aforementioned friends at round-about 10:00 PM CDT, so I'm thinking we start at 8 and go from there?

Central time? So that would be 8pm Arizona time correct?

If you mean this Saturday, then I am doing a LAN party and will try to get a few of my friends to join in.

Awesome! We'll be gaming already. Hopefully we can all join and play from the same IP address.
Also, I was playing via PlayOnLinux, I wonder if I should attempt to install it native?

I might add some bots to the server depending on how many people we have, that way there'll at least be someone to play against.

I'm having issue getting my UT installation to work. I've tried WINE, POL, Steam, inside of a VM, and everything is jacked one way or another.

I've tried to get this thing going in both Linux and Windows; it runs, but I don't see any servers in the server browser, even with the firewall rules disabled.

Am I supposed to have a server address to type into the 'open' field in multiplayer/find internet server?

I followed our GOTY guide and it connected fine. I also have the Anthology version, so not sure if that makes a difference.
When I clicked Multi-player I can see over 100 empty servers running.

I finally got GOTY working, and I see lots and lots of servers. Finding the GOL server in that list is a little daunting, but it's there.

You can also do a direct connect to gamersonlinux.com, and then you should be able to add it to your favorites once you're in the server.

Thats what I did. Just connected once and added it to favorites

What did you do to get it working?
I did a manual install within POL rather than letting POL do the thing itself. I also had to set the emulation to Win98, as WinXP and Win7 broke things horridly.

Which version of Wine?
I'm using Wine 3.0 and set to Windows XP
