Arlo is a gifted story teller. I truly love the guy. Thank you for posting "Alice's Restaurant" and this one too!
Saw "Echo in the Canyon" on Netflix last night. It's a history of the Sixties and onward about all the musicians who lived in Laurel Canyon. What marvelous music was created there and then. Highly recommended!
What an original character she was. We'll have her on vinyl forever unless we crumble. She sang with bandleader Johnny Otis way back when during her early career. Johnny Otis had a weekly radio program that I always listened to when last I lived in LA.
Thank God for young talent. It puts us in our place if we're slightly talented but far more importantly it provides inspiration and wonder to a jaded world.
I had always thought that Arlo wrote this song, but that honor goes to another. But he sure made it his own didn't he! ":O}..
I watched a few earlier episodes of The Kominsky Method. I like it more than most material, that's fer sure. Thanks for the suggestion. Watched all the new episodes, highly enjoyable. Thank you very much for the pointer!
Dick and DeeDee...it's an OK song but I hate the military drum roll that's featured throughout the the song.
A very nice selection George! "one fine day" a particular favorite of mine. Or was many a year gone by.
