There's a recurring skit With Buck Henry Gilda and Lorain Newman Where buck plays a baby sitting pedophile...most outrageously funny thing I think I have ever seen, but Internet here is pure on again off again crap right now and I can't find it. Foley did a a bit with the late Patrick Swayze. they were both shirtless and playing male strippers. I swear Foley almost throws his gut over his shoulder!! Very funny!!
Only empty arms ever reaching can find love... [Verse 1] I hear the soft wind sighing In every bush and tree The sound of my heart crying When you are far from me [Chorus] When we're apart, my darling There's sorrow in the wind When we're apart, my darling Sweet sorrow in the wind [Verse 2] You leave me in the morning Your footsteps die away Thou not a leaf is stirring I hear the wind all day [Chorus] [Verse 3] They say when love grows older It dies and fades away Yet all our life together One ever brightening day
When the spirit awakes, it seeks union. Lyrics Climbing up on Solsbury Hill I could see the city light Wind was blowing, time stood still Eagle flew out of the night He was something to observe Came in close, I heard a voice Standing, stretching every nerve Had to listen, had no choice I did not believe the information Just had to trust imagination My heart going boom, boom, boom "Son", he said, "grab your things, I've come to take you home" To keep in silence I resigned My friends would think I was a nut Turning water into wine Open doors would soon be shut So I went from day to day Though my life was in a rut 'Til I thought of what I'll say Which connection I should cut I was feeling part of the scenery I walked right out of the machinery My heart going boom, boom, boom "Hey", he said, "grab your things, I've come to take you home" (Hey, back home) When illusion spin her net I'm never where I want to be And liberty she pirouette When I think that I am free Watched by empty silhouettes Who close their eyes but still can see No one taught them etiquette I will show another me Today I don't need a replacement I'll tell them what the smile on my face meant My heart going boom, boom, boom "Hey", I said, "you can keep my things, they've come to take me home" Source: LyricFind Songwriters: Peter Gabriel
Definitely an interesting song. What's sorta funny is that there is a City Named Salisbury in Southwest England. And a Salisbury Hill that's near Bath, England. "Solsbury Hill" is such a popular song that there are far more "Solsbury" references than references to "Salisbury" on-line. I've been to Salisbury and seen Salisbury Cathedral. Seen Bath, but not the Salisbury Hill. Used to meet my high school sweetheart in Salisbury. Good time in my life.
