Here's a guy I have always thought was a great guitarist, and it seems Rick thinks so, too. Check him out, a master of many genres, Frank Gambale. He played with Chick Corea and many other legends:
Thanks for making the introductions.He seems to be a very nice guy, and hey! We both like music.":O) But why did he cut the heads off his co-joined Guitars? Were they not strange enough already.? "so there's no learning curve." I almost started to cry. ":O) (I'm just more given to laughter.)
The cat's meow, thank you for posting this one ThunderRd! Of course I've heard of him, yet hearing him in a Beato "classroom" genuinely hits the spot!
I thought someone thought of cutting off the tuning mechanism from the headstock, and moving it to the bridge end of a bass guitar first. Could be very wrong about this. It makes amazingly good sense to do this to a bass guitar, the standard 34" scale PLUS the headstock makes for a very long instrument. It is very weird playing a headless bass for the first time. The neck just ends sorta in space. Your frame of reference is altered a lot.
Supposedly Rick is going to do some more videos about his dinner with Joni, and perhaps even do a live video with her, which would be great. You can see how much Rick adores her and her music, so I hope he gets the opportunity, he well deserves it for what he does for the musician community.
George, go to 48:40, you will love it. Rick played the riff to 'Highway to Hell' in a video, and YouTube de-monetized it because 'Angus owns A, D over F#, and G, you know'...LOLZ
"for what he does for the musician community" ..and those who love them and seek a better understanding of what they do.":O}
This took me a dozen hearings to bend my ears his way. It was worth the effort for me, for you, who knows!? ":O)
