It might be ragtime, but it's not Bob Dylan.

    Who the hell *is* that?

I love this song. If I start listening to it I *have* to listen all the way through.

I remember well when it ruled the airwaves. You couldn't go a few hours without hearing it.

One of Jimmy Webb's greatest creations.

Next to David Letterman, the greatest star to have ever come from the state of Indiana.

Gawd, what a player. If I hadn't been such a big NY Knicks fan at the time, he would have been my hero.

Oh, and contrary to popular belief, Bird could **DUNK**

Very acute observation, thank you for pointing us in the correct direction. Somehow I also knew this, but cha beat me to the punch with the naming of the thang.

I think Poonam Nehasapeemapetilon may have performed the absolute best interpretation of this song accompanied with her playing the tabla.

She is one of the Octuplets born to Apu and Manjula Nehasapeemapetilon of The Simpsons.

The above information is from The Simpsons WIKI.

You may be able to tell that I'm breaking ranks on this one and simply don't like the song. All praise to Jimmy Webb, his catalogue is filled with great songs. Just not this one, imho.

I remember a bunch of hits from Ferrante & Teicher as a kid. What can I tell ya, the wayback machine goes way back.
