Patti and I listened to a lot of Metheny when we were first married. Guess we just drifted away somehow.
Charlie Watts, dead at 80, another legend. RIP Charlie, you will be missed... https://www.bbc.com/news/entertainment-arts-58316842 Steve Jordan tagged as his replacement, at least temporarily for their upcoming tour: https://www.startribune.com/rolling...n-tour-despite-charlie-watts-death/600091537/ https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-features/steve-jordan-charlie-watts-rolling-stone-1207907/ I like this story: https://www.vulture.com/article/book-excerpt-rolling-stones-charlie-watts-mick-jagger-fight.html
I didn't know how great a drummer Mr Watts was. Maybe 'cause I'm not a real Stones fan. He sure almost always looked out of place in their line-up. Suit and tie, wth? And very modest drum kit. He will be missed!
You posted it before I did, thank you! I was hesitant because of the length of the interview. Pat Metheny certainly was a very noticeable breath of fresh air!
I had never heard Pat Metheny interviewed, and was impressed with his 'down-to-earthness'. Extremely unassuming, for one of the world's top players, and altogether friendly. I think Rick scores BIG points with this extended interview and I hope it lays the groundwork for more long interviews with the great musicians. Hopefully he'll do one with Joni like this.
Meyer Hawthorne & Daryl Hall - Strange Arrangement Don't know how to fix these pita YouTube posts. Sorry. Just choose the selection at the very top of the page, please. EDIT: Fixed m'man
Pat Metheny - As Falls Wichita So Falls Wichita Falls This was a breath of badly needed fresh air when it hit the airwaves.
Lady Gaga, Bradley Cooper - Shallow from A Star Is Born Yes, it's a repost. Sorry...maybe it's just 'cause I like this song?
