Just back from their world tour of GOL...
DAMN! I mean DAMN! these guys move from strength to strength!
Can you hear what our grand parents heard in this piece... I was a push over they had me with the title!
"I don't want to set the world on fire, I just want to start a flame in your heart!"
Makes me laugh every time! ":O}
"Come and Rejoice in what the lord has brought fourth!"
This is my unequivocal answer to the anti-immigration hate mongers
Over the years this one has really grown on me.":O}
"The first thing you learn is you always gotta to wait"
Surly I do,":O}I never considered the original to be a "tender poem of young love." Surely you jest good sir?
Surly I do,":O}
Poor little girl surly out danced anyone in our video!!This is an old favorite of mine. Isn't it amazing how many different ways a skirt can sway?
They just let that Cooder do any damn thing he wants...I wish my life could be like that!! LOLIf this doesn't move ya, nothing will. Cuban music and Ry Cooder:
The dealer has the works? Never worked that way. But then again the sellers going dry was very infrequent in RVN. And you sure as sugar didn't need works over there. Only the most very dedicated dope suckers needed injections. Met such a guy once when I had to explore unfamiliar territory because all the sellers I knew were dry. Sheeite that was an ugly experience. Nevermind.
The Velvet Ug was never a favorite. I still don't believe that they were really familiar with life underground. Maybe I have that wrong, but their alleged mystique was never that mystique to me.
I don't know who you have to be to be a junkie.
But Nico was hardcore. She addicted her 5 year old son to H.
Said they were both happier that way.
That spells hardcore degenerate junkie to me
If this doesn't move ya, nothing will. Cuban music and Ry Cooder:
Ry Cooder is one of the greatest, he travels far and wide in the world of music.
Hate to kvetch but some music from Cuba without Ry Cooder moves your hips and feet MUCH better. Some of the best music from Cuba leaves me open mouthed in appreciation and shock that some music can SMOKE like that.
Even the repetitive piano part leaves me breathless. The piano part has a name which I haven't learned, oh the shame. I mostly find the piano part annoying.
I know, I know. Only my unsolicited opinion.
