    Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen Test

I bought Dragon's Dogma recently and I decided to get it running in wine. I did a basic steam install on playonlinux, installed the game and ran it. Game started without any issues, and no weird problems in the menu, but I had no sound. I'm working on that now. I have pulseaudio in my system...

    Thank you, Ian Murdock

Kinda late post but I just want to say that Linux wouldn't be what it is today without Debian.

Need advice Distro needed, no gaming needed.

Yeah, you have to do some research if you're going to buy a laptop and use it for Linux. My new laptop is a bit bitchy about booting both windows and linux install images. I have to plug the usb dvd rom or the usb stick, go into bios, then take it out and in again cause it's not there, then I...

Need advice Distro needed, no gaming needed.

Fast boot, UEFI, "secure" boot, all fucking annoying.

Need advice Distro needed, no gaming needed.

Man, I fucking hate UEFI. Once UEFI was introduced was when I suddenly got problems installing Linux.

    Steam Streaming

These days I don't really bother re-booting into Windows 7 on my desktop. I just stream games from my laptop that has Windows to my desktop with Linux. It works really well.

    [News] Insurgency Comes To Linux

Cool. Sounds like Insurgency could be more my kind of game. I've always disliked CS and CS:GO. I've always seem them as these "dumb brute" kill score games. Same way I see CoD really.

    Installing Guild Wars 2

@giffmemana Your CPU is pretty old. I don't think you can expect much better performance in GW 2 with your current CPU. Remember that 3 Ghz back in 2009 definitely isn't 3 Ghz now, and the processor will be lacking many features that newer CPU has that increases performance. Also, Nvidia GT...

Why We Want Native Ports Only (Gaming On Linux)

And people wonder why I'm hostile to such devs.. Have you guys noticed how most big companies complain how hard it is to make games for Linux when smaller dev companies and indie dev companies don't usually complain? Some of these dev companies who doesn't complain make some pretty complex...

    Windows 10...

Glad to have another convert. :D I have dual boot on my desktop, but I almost never boot into Windows 7 unless there is a game I really want to play that won't run with Linux and play multi-player games with friends that does not run in Linux.

    Shadow of Mordor on Linux
