My memory works like a Will o' the wisp when it comes to songs, I'm sorry but the song your post refers to is lost in the mist.
Thank you very much for finding these tunes! This is one hell of a band! These guys hearken to black bands lost in time to me. Real deal soul, it's wonderful that some honkies can pull it off.
I saw them on a Sunday morning news show. Where they did a song with everyone singing but with just one guitar to keep them together.... it was some kind of wonderful.
How did I miss her? watch those fingers fly over her strings to touch and change hearts! a real deal Gospel singer!
An engaging performance, perhaps a bit under the influence, but which influence? A first encounter for me.
Her playing a Gibson SG way back then was highly unusual, hugely unusual. The woman is that real deal we all like so much!
Thank you for this post, Dan. The original guitar work in the second song is most refreshing and appreciated! The lead singer sounds very reminiscent of Otis Redding.
Buy Gum Gully, I didn't know. Thank you for the informative post ThunderRd! Listening to this band is very, very enjoyable.
Just to put a smile on your faces! note the classic Fats keyboard intro, i love the way he tickles those keys! ":O}
