Well, we haven't been able to return to Thailand yet, lucky I have this place in Laos. I am simply not willing to pay for and jump through all the hoops the Thais have erected for foreigners to enter at this time. I will wait until the requirements relax before returning; my kids might have to do this school year next year. It is a shame, but it's the ball life has pitched us...

We don't often stop and look at what men almost always take for granted.
So I see this as needful. Pretty much liked all three versions.

They put me in mind of the first song I heard that asked us to be a bit more human in or treatment of the mothers of this world.

I like Taylor Swift, she is extremely talented as both a writer and performer, and her parents named her Taylor after James, so that was a good start :) The songs you posted are from her new album just released in the last week or so. Listen to some of her earlier work to hear what made her so popular. Here are 3 of my favorites:


And oh, I nearly forgot: she's very easy on the eyes, and that doesn't hurt, either ;)

I'm usually pretty quick in identifying what I like. For some reason I'm having trouble getting a fix on her.
I'll listen again tomorrow.
 
She has a lot of talent and is certainly easy on the eyes, yet I think I've entered the old phart zone and I'm prejudiced against music that I didn't grow up with. Shame on me? Yes.
Sorry, I'm distressed by that unbelievably evil phuck that adds to it's list of inhumane actions by the second. Maybe I should retire from caring about politics. But doing so is like succumbing to the Anti-Christ's wishes.

We all return to the music of our younger lives as a comfort zone. I understand. But, there is a lot more for us to hear; not all of it is good, but some of it is excellent, and we can still appreciate the talent of the artists even if the music isn't completely to our liking. In this case, go back to her earlier records to hear her country/pop roots, and I think you will be delighted.

I think I have another artist Who has all the talent in this world, yet doesn't quite fit the groove I'm in.
Have no problem understanding why most really like her. I like her as well, just not drawn to her favorite tunes.
