Hello, welcome to the forum nathan86.

I'm currently in between games at the moment, not really committed to any single game. Currently I am playing a bit of GTAV, Space Hulk Ascension, StarCraft 2, Vampire Bloodlines.

I have been feeling a need to get back into an old favorite series of mine: Quest for Glory.

This pokemon omega ruby citra is a gameboy advance game that you can enjoy on play emulator. This GBA game is the US English version that works in all modern web browsers without downloading..

Is that Black Desert Online? I've never played it myself, but seen some ads over the years.

I'm hooked on Stellaris again these days. I normally play a materialist/pacifist civilization. Huge focus on technological research, while doing my best to stay out of war and instead keep friendly relations with other empires. A democractic society with freedom for the citizens.

This time however I did a slight variation. I always enjoy playing a materialist civilization, since I like to focus heavily on research. I always want to be more advanced than the other empires. But this time I am no pacifist, instead I am authoritarian. I run strict population and migrations controls, and have a strong police state with a dictatorial rule. My entire population have recently been forcibly turned into robots. First everyone were given cybernetic implants, now everyone is fully synthetic. When I conquer planets from others, the entire population is also turned into machines in my empire.

Thats too bad.. nobody wants to hear that a game is boring.
I've always wanted to give it a try, but I'll pass on it.

Recently I bought Baldur's Gate II Enhanced Edition and tried a co-op game with my 13 year old daughter. Sadly, it is too confusing and boring for her to continue. I was really hoping for an action game with a lot of story, but there is SOOO MUCH dialog. At least in the beginning. How far do we need to go before the action begins?
We are not used to tactical RPG party-based games. Picking up items, equipping and using magic is very confusing. But I don't want to give up on this game.

Both BG1 and BG2 are amazing games. I played them when they were new, which is around 20 years ago. And I've replayed both games multiples times.

However, both BG1 and BG2 are what I would consider "old-school-rpg", meaning that it takes some time to get into the mechanics (lower armor class is better, for instance), and there is a LOT of dialogue. A large part of the game is spent exploring the city and talking. By playing it cooperatively, you are also missing out on a lot of game content and quests. When you play single player, and only create the main character, then the party members you hire during the game will have their own storylines and quests.

But if you want that kind of gameplay, but with less talking and more action, check out Icewind Dale. The first game is the best one here, and it is a lot more action oriented. This game was also intended for you to create the full party. It is identical to Baldur's Gate in gameplay and mechanics.

I finished the Ancient Gods Part 2 DLC for Doom Eternal this weekend. Doom Eternal has overall been an amazing game with impressive visuals, gameplay pushed into the extreme (that old me is sometimes having problems keeping up with), and an awesome soundtrack.

Here's a screenshot from the final level, I just love the atmosphere.

Eternal is faster paced, with a lot more combat. It also adds some new features such as a home base you visit between missions.

The story is also a lot more interesting, giving you a lot more backstory about the universe and doomguy.

Some of the more important differences in regard to combat is that you primarily get more ammo from killing enemies with the chainsaw. Every time you kill an enemy with the chainsaw it drops ammo for all weapons. Encounters usually last longer as well, meaning that you need to refill ammo like this quite often.

You also get "extra lives", which is a blessing. The overall difficulty is a lot higher in Eternal, so being able to die and then just continue is very helpful. You can see that I have 7 extra lives in my screenshot, it's at the top left.

I just replayed Doom Eternal, with the Ancien Gods DLC, and there is one particular level that I just love. The intro to the level is some of the most awesome moments in the game.

I highly suggest watching it with either good headphones or proper speakers.

Wow its an all out war!

    I'm still playing Assassin's Creed Origin's slowly...
But I'm also playing yet another world in Terraria with my family.

I finally got Flatout to connect over LAN so we can play destruction derby. Its pretty fun!

Other than that I'm sure you have noticed the games I've been testing. Not sure what I'll play after Assassin's Creed?
I have a huge list of games to play... maybe Metro Last Light... Maybe Watch Dogs or I'll continue playing Just Cause 3

I haven't actually tried CSGO yet... I still play Counter-Strike: Source on my LAN from time to time... but its rare these days.

    I'm currently playing through:
    • Wolfenstein New Order
    • Ryse: Son of Rome
    • Skyrim (with my daughter)
    • Children of Morta (co-op with my wife)
