Time to retell the tale "Juliet, yeah I used to have a thing with her." Sorry the only way I could get the lyrics
What a great interview. Joe is an outstanding guy, funny, oddly articulate, and intelligent. You wouldn't think it until you see him in a setting like this, where he has a chance to express himself freely. I especially liked the exchange with one of the students at 50:50. "Joe, what can you tell us about the recording session of Don Henley's 'Dirty Laundry'? You did the first guitar solo on that song." "Well, Steve Lukather did the second solo, and that's great too. Umm...Don, umm, usually,...is mad at... som'tin'." The whole audience laughs here. What a great laid-back wit Joe has, lolz
I have always loved this song from 'Making Movies' and its mate on the same album, 'Tunnel of Love'. The lyrics of 'Romeo and Juliet' are remarkable, and I love the oblique reference to 'West Side Story' near the end.
I've read that we change our memories every time we recall them. Seems wacky to me, but heck, I'm already wacky! What a great "all-time" video from Mr Beato, thank you very much for posting this one Daniel!!
I'm ignorant of the movie and the song, I definitely like them both. Recently (so fast old, so slow smart) I realized that resenting the wide gulf (because it made real communication quite difficult) between the sexes was foolish. Vive La Difference!!
Shame on me, I haven't heard this one enough to get how great it is. Emmylou doesn't appear in the video that she's given credit for. But this isn't a crime, because I recall seeing it and not digging it all that much. Mark seems to be begging unsuccessfully for her favors and she is busy being colder than ice. Just my opinion on how I recall it.
Talk about so clean and so tight. I've reposted this quite a few times. Am I the only one that appreciates Anthony Jackson's genius on bass? This song was on the radio when I returned from Viet-Nam more or less in one piece. Just 'cause it's memorable to me...
George, I can't get this video here, says it's outlawed in this country. What is the song? I know of him because he played with Al DiMeola, but I'd like to listen to whatever this is.
Well, duuh! is I. I forgot about different countries' habits of what's legal. Sorry you have a problem with this tune, TR. It Is "For The Love Of Money" by the OJay's.
This one is brand new to me. True, I love George 'cause he is SO smart and sees the bs around us so well. Rest in peace George Carlin!
Very nice to hear and see Bill Maher "telling it like it is." Not sure if he is that much of a free thinker any more. Thank you very much for finding so much George!!
