Great song, thank you for posting this version! Now, if I could just name the first woman in the video. I've been crazy about her face for decades...
It's Charlotte Rampling, do you remember the movie 'The Night Porter'? She also did 'Stardust Memories' with Woody Allen, and many others, but The Night Porter put her on the map. Very weird movie...sort of a Nazi film noire
Those guys were a complete enigma. It was a love/hate relationship between three very talented guys, who in the end couldn't sustain the relationship. Watch this:
Thank you very much, what a crime to forget the name that goes with such an arresting face. I love her name, too. "Rampling" sounds like rambling, as in a ramble in the hay. Hey, I can dream big! She's much older now, but that's not her fault.
Those teeny tiny cymbals are just so darned cute. While they were a great band, I NEVER liked the name of "The Police." WTH was up with that??! There is only one Sting. Steward Copeland is a great musician, and Andy Summers is a GREAT guitarist yet Sting is on his own mountain top. Which doesn't mean I like all of his material. To me, Andy Summers can play no wrong note.
Grateful Dead Ripple After the video gets started the "logo" aka skully looking red white and blue skull in the lower right hand corner is named "Steal Your Face." Just in case you always wondered. I didn't know this until three or four years ago. Apologies if it's old hat to you.
Free thinking has got to be one of the most over rated ways to arrive at a correct solution. I much prefer rational thinking. Bill may not always be right but you can count on him to be rational or funny and sometimes both. Most problems are held in common as are their solutions.
It's funny that Joe says he went with Belushi to a Benihana's, and John took over the cooking in a very sloppy fashion. I wonder if that evening was the inspiration for this SNL sketch. Go to 3:50 for Belushi cooking, Benihana style, lolz:
Joint Base Lewis McChord. Used to be Fort Lewis and McChord Air Force Base. They stood side by side, so some genius came up with "JBLM." What do you wanna bet that the name change didn't save the DoD one cent? I was stationed at Ft Lewis, but as it no longer exists I was stationed nowhere for eighteen months. How does that make me feel? Who cares? Only me. So a tale of sound and fury signifying nothing. Again. Yay!
