    I no longer speak enough German to decipher the lyrics of "99 Red Balloons." She's singing in Platt Deutsch, which I never learned, which was Hoch Deutsch. Technical matter of little general interest, sorry.

    The title of the song is "99 Air Balloons" in German. For some reason I just liked her voice and the song enough to find a translation. You enjoyed the translation as well, as I recall.

    Interesting that you notice the difference. Singing in German is a bit different than speaking it. As I learned from one of the greatest music teachers of all time.

    His own favorite work. "Harvest" came out when I was sunbathing in SE Asia. Like heck, the July sun in South East Asia beats your head like a sledge hammer.

    Armed Forces Radio Viet-Nam played only "Heart Of Gold" from this album, but we knew the rest of the record had to be outstanding.
