Who's heard Little Richard sing "Shake a Hand"?

Some songs seem to take place in an entirely different acoustic space.
These harmonies of unhappy love, of missed understandings that we carry with us all our lives.

"The final stirrings of the human heart can only be expressed by a stringiness Zither.."
(A very old Chinese saying.)

Teen heart trauma was never really my thing. I was of the old blues school which taught

"If you don't want me babe,
it's a cinch I don't want you."

None of which spared me making a god damned fool of myself on numerous occasions...sigh
Yet Mr. Blue lingers on into my old age.

But being willing to make a fool of oneself is a necessity on your way to become an artist. Doesn't stop me from squirming about some things I did in the past.

For some reason I'm not a Dead fan, much less a Dead Head. I recognize that they wrote and performed many good songs, so kudos to them.

I'm like that with lots of folk's.I can see what others see, but it just doesn't take me home.

Maybe we not all from the same town Maybe we don't all walk the same path.
But it gives me joy to know their path will see them home. And see them home again and dancing.
