LET IT DIE is a free to play 3rd person action survival game with a tournament style game-play. Select a male or female clone and climb the tower by slaying robots, clones and looting their corpse for gear. Eat and store frogs, mushrooms and other stuff to power up or poison yourself. This is a single-player game but almost seems like a multi-player game because you will fight against your previous characters that died.

Apparently this is a survival game but I didn't see very many survival needs... no hunger, water, sleep, or crafting. There is weapon crafting in the lobby and you can customize your characters, but it seems when you die the next start is with a brand new clone with nothing but underwear. Also, most of the levels are flat, so it doesn't really feel like you are climbing a tower until you get to the ladder at the end.

Metallic Child demo is a 3rd person melee action game where you play as a human controlling a mysterious space station battle robot: Rona

At first glance she appears to be an innocent child-like robot, but beneath the skin she packs-a-punch!
Use several skills and melee weapons to destroy enemy bots then combo them together and take out challenging bosses.

The demo on steam is basically an introduction and tutorial to the game. Proton handles it just fine and I was able to play through the entire demo. Once you learn the basics, this is a fast moving action game with a lot of variety and upgrades.

Monster Hunter Rise is the next installment of the hunting series...
Select a class like an axe, sword wielding character or a gun slaying character and many more... then ride your wolf around the massive map searching for elements to craft traps and poisons. Once you find a monster, TAKE IT DOWN or mount it if possible and use its own body weight to smash them into the environment.

Proton was able to handle Monster Hunter Rise demo very well. I left all the settings on normal which included HD textures and most settings on high. The screenshots are kinda crappy because the stinking HUD is so large, but the environment and animation is top notch! Each creature has a purpose and the monsters roam around freely. The Survivalists demo is top-down retro survival game on a mysterious island. You are shipwrecked and alone, but you meet a trusty monkey to help you gather, harvest and craft the resources you need to survive. Night-time bring creatures out of the dark and exploring the island can be treacherous with natives and caves. No matter... still lots to do and lots of crafting to be done.

Proton as able to handle the demo without issues! The game played perfectly and is quite fun. You can train your monkey to gather and harvest for you. Keep an eye on your hunger and explore as much as you can. There is even a hosting option to invite your friend, but I haven't tried it yet.

Triple Hell is a horror puzzle game where you have to avoid a crazy giant maniac with a red lantern. You have to hurry as he is roaming the asylum and if he see's you its almost impossible to escape. Find the items you need to leave the asylum or die trying.

Triple Hell ran perfectly in stable Wine without any issues. Performance was great and its a pretty spooky game being chased around this small asylum.

Abriss demo is all about destruction! It kinda reminds me of the Matrix where the robots have taken over and protect their nests. In Abriss you can construct all kinds of apparatus's for demolishing these robot breeding grounds. The demo includes multiple levels and a sandbox mode where you create your own hybrid with lasers, gears and all kinds of smashing structures.

Everything is physics based and it is a lot of fun watching epic structures go down in misery!

Abriss is made with Unity 3D engine which runs really well in Wine. I didn't have any issues with physics or performance.

The Creation is an indie FPS with horror, fantasy and sci-fi elements. Begin exploring a forest after your car has broken down on the highway when you arrive at a mysterious church. I was able to play The Creation in PlayOnLinux with stable Wine and never had any serious issues. In fact this indie game is surprisingly polished and optimized. Normally I have some stutters and frame rate issues, but not this time. Ran GREAT!

Peaks Of Yore demo is a stylistic climbing simulation taking place back in the 1940s.
Climb famous peaks and earn the Stamp of Approval in your climbing journal! But its not as easy as you think... You Suck At Parking is a clever driving puzzle game where you have to overcome obstacles in order to park your vehicles. Sound simple? No... its not! Fly over jumps, launch through explosive thrusters, fight against huge fans and get lost in the deep water. You Suck At Parking demo runs fine in Proton until you load the menu or another level. Its seriously an issue with Proton and Unity 3D or Unreal Engine games. I've never had this problem until recently yet all of my other Wine games and native games run fine! I recently posted GOG's Wolfenstein New Order and it runs perfectly!

Proton handles SuchArt pretty good... every once in a while there is a stuttering-effect while painting but its tolerable. The only thing I'm not happy with is the lack of tablet support. As an artist, I would love to use my tablet and actually paint detailed art instead of abstract shapes. One True Hero is developed by a single person and has many polished features of an epic indie game. I was able to play in Proton without any issues. I reached out to the developer on reddit with hopes of a native port, but its hard enough to develop a Windows port in Unity by yourself. There may be a chance of a native port in the future, but until then, enjoy the free demo with Proton.

Elteria Adventures is a minecraft-sandbox clone with high poly characters and monsters. Explore massive floating islands, mine for resources and craft your hearts desires. The current Alpha edition runs very well in Linux. I initially noticed the audio was pretty quiet and thought that it wasn't working, but turn it up and all the sound effects are there. Also, there is a bug where you use the teleportation device and end up in the same location... but if you quit the game and restart, you will transport to the new location. Other than that, it runs great and is pretty dang fun! I've played Minetest for years with my family and co-op is always funner because you can mine, craft and fight together...

Death Trash is an 8-bit retro action RPG inspired by classics like the Fallout series. Your character begins in a vault-ish base where robots protect the un-infected. You have been cast out into the open-world where meat and flesh are your only hope. Wield all kinds of guns, swords, lasers and blunt instruments to loot your way around the wasteland.

The demo is a native port for Linux and plays beautifully! Since its a retro 8-bit inspired game, performance wasn't an issue. I can't wait for the full game release because this is going to be an epic story with all kinds of NCPs and mutated monsters all around the world.

Altered is a puzzle game made of boxes. Yes boxes... but you can't just stay in the box to solve them... you have to go "outside the box" in your mind and on your keyboard.
